Methodology
Total = spot (~1,100 top CoinGecko coins, market-wide, stablecoins excluded) + futures (every contract pair on six major venues). How to use it
Total volume tracks overall capital participation; divided by total market cap it gives a turnover view. Cycle tops historically print alongside volume peaks, while bottoms form in prolonged volume droughts — volume tends to lead price.
