Return per year = last daily close of the period / last daily close of the prior period − 1 (since 2010, UTC). The current period is in progress.

How to use it

Each bar is one calendar year's return (year-end close over prior year-end); the tiles summarize win rate and average annual return. For intra-year OHLC detail see the Yearly Candlestick page.

Methodology

Yearly return = last daily close of the year / last daily close of the prior year − 1. This differs slightly from the candlestick page's yearly change (last close / first close of the same year). The current year is in progress.

Caveat

Early years (2011–2013) posted gains orders of magnitude larger than recent ones, inflating the average. Not investment advice.
