This page is planned to display the geographic distribution of Bitcoin full nodes on a map. Full nodes independently validate every block and transaction, forming the physical basis of the network's decentralisation and censorship resistance.

Geographic node data demands caution: only a subset of nodes is discoverable, since those running behind Tor or firewalls cannot be scanned — and such nodes are common among privacy-conscious operators. Public maps therefore systematically undercount total nodes and specifically underrepresent privacy-sensitive regions. The map's genuine use is observing long-run trends and extreme concentration: an outsized share of visible nodes in a single jurisdiction marks a concentrated regulatory risk. Node distribution and hashrate distribution are independent dimensions and should not be conflated.

Miner and network metrics describe the supply side: hashrate, block production and fees. Miner sell pressure is routinely overstated as a short-term price driver; these series are better used to read network security and the cost floor.

The live chart for this metric is still being wired up. Hashrate, block production and fee series already carry real data.
