Trader Leaderboard

A trader leaderboard ranks public trading accounts by realised P&L, return or win rate. On on-chain perpetual venues such as Hyperliquid every position and fill is public data, so a leaderboard can be built from the real ledger rather than self-reported platform statistics.

The most common misuse is survivorship bias: accounts with spectacular short-run returns are usually lucky samples of high leverage, and copy-trading them has negative expected value. A better read is whether top accounts agree on direction — several independent high-win-rate accounts positioning the same way carries more information than any single account's P&L. Also check holding periods; an intraday scalper's book tells a swing trader nothing.

Volume and market-structure metrics describe the size and distribution of trading activity. Methodologies differ sharply between venues (wash-trading filters, USD conversion), so confirm the accounting basis before comparing platforms side by side.
