Was ist Addresses > 0.01 BTC?

Counts addresses holding more than 0.01 BTC. This tier represents small retail-scale holdings and is commonly used as a proxy for the breadth of retail participation — low enough to capture new small holders, high enough to filter dust addresses.

So liest man ihn

The trend direction matters far more than the absolute count. Historically this tier has risen monotonically, rarely falling even in deep bears — evidence that small holders accumulate rather than exit, and a marker of long-run adoption. Two distortions deserve caution: exchange-generated deposit addresses inflate the count, while the trend toward custody (users holding on exchanges rather than self-custody) suppresses it. A flattening slope in recent years therefore does not necessarily mean adoption has stalled.

Einordnung

Address metrics track how on-chain balances are distributed. Remember an address is not a person: exchange hot/cold wallets, custodians and change addresses all distort the count, so the direction of the trend matters far more than the absolute number.
