Bitcoin Open Interest
Bitcoin Open Interestとは
Bitcoin open interest is the total notional value of all outstanding futures and perpetual contracts. It measures how much capital is committed to derivatives rather than how actively they trade — flat open interest alongside heavy volume means positions are changing hands while total leverage is unchanged. Live BTC open interest is already available on this site's open-interest rankings; this page serves as the explanatory reference for the metric.
指標の読み方
Open interest only means something read alongside price direction. Price rising with open interest rising means new money is funding the advance — the trend has leverage behind it but is also accumulating drawdown risk. Price rising while open interest falls is a short-covering bounce, which typically lacks durability. A sharp drop from elevated open interest usually marks concentrated liquidation and is a direct cause of volatility expansion. Normalise to USD when comparing venues, since coin-margined notional shifts with price.

Volume and market-structure metrics describe the size and distribution of trading activity. Methodologies differ sharply between venues (wash-trading filters, USD conversion), so confirm the accounting basis before comparing platforms side by side.
