Cosa misura la volatilità?
La volatilità misura quanto ampiamente il prezzo oscilla all'interno di una finestra temporale. Una volatilità maggiore significa guadagni e perdite potenziali più grandi e di solito spread più ampi e rischio di liquidazione.
Come viene calcolata qui la volatilità?
Per ogni finestra prendiamo il range di prezzo (massimo meno minimo) diviso per il prezzo di apertura, espresso in percentuale — una stima della volatilità semplice e robusta basata sul range.
Come usano i trader i dati sulla volatilità?
I trader dimensionano le posizioni e impostano gli stop tenendo conto della volatilità, vendono opzioni quando la volatilità è alta e osservano l'espansione della volatilità per la conferma dei breakout.
Volatilità della finestra = (massimo della finestra − minimo della finestra) / apertura della finestra × 100%. Le finestre 5m/15m usano snapshot di prezzo a 5 minuti; 1h/4h/1g usano candele orarie.
