Crypto Calendar

A crypto calendar aggregates time-based events that move markets: macro releases (CPI, FOMC, payrolls), token unlocks and vesting cliffs, options and futures expiries, protocol upgrades and hard forks, plus regulatory hearings and rulings.

A calendar is a risk-management tool, not a directional one. Two practical rules: the direction of a known event is unpredictable but its volatility is not — implied vol rises into major releases and collapses after (IV crush), which matters more for options than spot; and days stacking several events (a CPI print landing on a large options expiry) tend to produce outsized moves in thin liquidity, where cutting size beats guessing direction.

Macro correlation metrics gauge how tightly crypto tracks traditional markets. Correlation coefficients are notoriously unstable and flip with the liquidity regime, so read them on a rolling basis rather than as a single number.
