MACD(12,26,9): DIF = EMA12 − EMA26, DEA = 9-day EMA of DIF, histogram = DIF − DEA. Computed from our daily kline data, refreshed every 10 minutes.
What is MACD?
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) consists of the DIF line (12-day EMA minus 26-day EMA), the DEA signal line (9-day EMA of DIF) and a histogram (DIF − DEA). It is one of the most widely used trend-momentum indicators.
Bullish & bearish crossovers
DIF crossing above DEA is a bullish (golden) cross; crossing below is a bearish (death) cross, mirrored by the histogram flipping sign. Crosses above the zero line generally carry more weight than those below.
Caveats
MACD is a lagging indicator and prone to whipsaws in ranging markets — combine it with RSI, volume or higher-timeframe confluence. Computed automatically from our daily kline data; for research only, not investment advice.
