Volume measures market activity and liquidity. Rising volume alongside a price move confirms the trend, while falling volume warns the move may lack conviction.
Why is futures volume much larger than spot volume?
Leverage lets derivatives traders recycle the same capital many times, so perpetual futures typically trade 5-10x the volume of spot markets in crypto.
